The plays in this volume are: Global Home, The Masquerade and the Elephant, The Professor and the Cathedral, Lifetimes, The Travails of James Skott, Lamp of Peace, Comrade and Voltage, The Prisoner's Dream, Antis-People, We Protest, Aishatu, The Camps of Seghwerna, Malkin Mata, and Swem Karagbe.

The plays span three decades, from 1977 to 2007 and represent Hagher's active days in the Theatre, at Ahmadu Bello University, University of Jos, and the "Leader's Theatre House" in Jos.

The plays expose human stupidity and extremities and open a dialogue between the audience and actors aimed at raising consciousness of the world about the plight of the downtrodden, the poor and the weak who have' presence but no voice.
